My Creative Journey

I am a thrifting junkie. I also have ADHD and a new sewing machine my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas. The combination of these fueled by my passion to create sustainable art resulted in handsewn bandanas from fabrics I sourced secondhand.

But the bandanas are merely a blank canvas to capture my ever growing collection of vintage inspired art. The real magic happened next as I pressed each of my hand-carved linocut blocks on the bandanas using simple printmaking techniques to create the mesmerizing overlapping petal pattern you see here. This mod-inspired design features graceful oval shapes that dance in perfect rhythm across the fabric, creating an optical flow reminiscent of 1960s psychedelic and botanical motifs, resulting in handprinted clothes that feel both nostalgic and fresh, combining traditional block printing with upcycled materials.
